Run a Mass Update

You can run a Mass Update at the time you create a Mass Update record, or set it up and run the update step at a later date.

On the Select Mass Update window, select to Add Mass Update or highlight the required existing Mass Update record and select Update.
The Process Mass Update window appears:

3. Select Mass Update. The system will let you know if user locks exist. You must remove the user locks before running the mass update.

4. If no user locks exist, the Mass Updates for <selected module> window will be shown.

Select the module you wish to work in (i.e. Contracts)

Note: If you are using the Contract Amendment Link to Sub functionality, select Base > Amend only. In the Qbyte CS Land application manually link Base Amendments to applicable Subs.

Select the Section you wish to update in the Update Sections list. (i.e. Sub > Remarks)
Click the Select button. Either the the corresponding Mass Update Information fields for update will be shown at the bottom or a popup message indicating “There are no files to update”.

5. In the Mass Update Information fields, enter the information that you want to add to the files listed in the Selection tab.

As soon as data is entered the Update button becomes available.

5. Click Update. A popup will be shown to indicate how many files will be updated.

Click No if you wish to cancel the update. The window reverts back with the Mass Update Information fields cleared out.
Click Yes to continue. The update process will run and when finished, another popup will confirm the number of files updated

Click OK to go back to the Mass Updates window.

Click OK to go back to the Process Mass Update window.
