Rights

Introduction
The Rights tab is found on both the Mineral Lease Sub and Land Contract Sub and is used to record all minerals rights held in a lease or governed by a contract.
You must enter at least one Rights Held record for each mineral lease sub or contract sub.
You can set up multiple subs on a mineral lease or contract to clearly define different Rights Held for different portions of the set of lands. Note: Contracts do not need to be split out to match the Mineral Lease.
Structured Rights Held Information
If Structured Rights Held is activated (generally in Mineral, occasionally in Contract modules) it will allow for better more precise searching, reporting and mapping at the formation level.
If you have not activated the Structured Rights Held option at your company and you want to use this feature of Qbyte CS Land, please contact the IFS Qbyte CS land Support Desk.
Rights Held Template
Enter Rights Held information by using the template at the bottom of the window (recommended).
Alternatively enter free-format directly into the Rights Held description block (up to 1910 characters). Use standard copy, paste, insert functionality and Alt + Enter to go to a new row within the description block.
Note: Bracketed ( ) information can be manually entered in the Rights Held Description block. Anything in brackets, will be treated as a comment and will not be included in any validation or Rights searches.
The Rights Held template block has 4 columns:

|
Substance* | Choose the applicable substance or substance subset from the drop down list. Values shown are from validation code tables. |

The system will take you to the first formation in the Formation table with those characters in the Description.
