Overview

The Facilities module can be used optionally to maintain and track your facility's physical assets.  Facility agreements for Construction, Ownership, and Operation are maintained in the Contracts module .   

Facilities Tab Definitions

The following tabs are available (shown in alphabetical order). Your System Administrator can change which tabs are available and the order in which they are shown.  Some of the tabs are common and will also appear in other modules.

Base*

Summarizes all general information that pertains to the Facilities.

Client Defined

Store data about an agreement or asset when no fields exist within the module. For example, this tab could be configured to track Facilities (i.e. compressor) movement.

DOI



Licence

Summarizes information from the Facility Licence document issued by the AER. When entering a new Facilities file, at least one Licence record must exist before you can close the Facilities file.

Copying Facilities

The Copy From option allows you to copy selected information from an existing file to a new file.  The Facilities Document Copy pop up will allow you to select the specific sections that you wish to copy or check the Select All Sections option.   Note that the system places a forced update symbol (in this case the open file folder) on the tabs for which information was copied. You must click each tab with a forced update symbol and verify that the correct information was entered. The system will not write the new document to the database until each section has been reviewed.

Other Ways to Update Facilities

You may consider using one or more of the following methods for helping maintain your Facilities data:

  • If you have access to a public data hub (IHS or gDC) you might want to utilize the user process for Asset Utilities - Facilities

  • Qbyte Exchange for Facilities is available for bulk loading of new files or updating existing files when needing to make the same change on many Facilities at once.

  • Learn about Ways to Mass Update various Facilities data like Remarks, Obligations, Business Associates, etc.

Reporting for Facilities

Options for reporting Facilities data includes the following:

  • The Qbyte Optix Facilities Details (Abstract) report, the Qbyte Optix Facilities Summary (list of facilities) and the Qbyte Optix Facilities Data Extract (you select which data/columns to see) 

All Facilities data from any of these Qbyte Optix reports can also be exported to Excel.
