TDEU001 and TDEU002
There are two different methods for deploying the Qbyte Spreadsheet Upload to each user. It is at the discretion of the client which method they would like their staff to use.
TDEU001.xlsm
This version of the spreadsheet contains all of the formatting and coding embedded in the spreadsheet. The disadvantage of using this version is every time Qbyte changes something in the spreadsheet or provides a new release; each user must receive a new copy of TDEU001.xlsm and use this new version as their working copy.
TDEU002.xlsx and TDEU002.xlam
The TDEU002.xlsx is an empty spreadsheet that is free of formatting and coding. The add-in (TDEU002.xlam) contains the formatting and the coding that TDEU002.xlsx uses. The advantage of using TDEU002.xlsx and its add-in is the user can always keep TDEU002.xlsx as their base spreadsheet (unless Qbyte adds or removes columns) and the add-in can be used to accept the new formatting and coding changes. This is accomplished by putting the add-in on a network drive and when the user opens up their spreadsheet the new add-in will be called. The disadvantage of using TDEU002.xlsx and its add-in is that when each client puts the Add-in on their network drive, the first user that opens up their spreadsheet and enables the macros will cause the add-in to be moved (not copied) to their hard drive (C:/Documents and Settings/User ID/Application Data/Microsoft/AddIns). Currently, the TDEU002.xlsx and its add-in do not work for P2 Cloud (Hosted) clients unless they have a high speed connection.
