Introduction
The Qbyte Optix Mineral Lease Rental Forecast provides a list of gross and net rentals that would be payable in each month for a selected future period to assist with budgeting. Sub totals are shown depending on the grouping selected.
Features of this Report
Report Options
Expiring Lands: Choose to either include or exclude Lands Expiring within the selected Reporting Period. Already Expired Lands, prior to the select reporting period are always excluded from the report. Note: Expired/Expiring is based on the sub Extension date or if no Extension Date, the base Expiry date.
Group By: To choose where subtotals should appear: Division, Province, Area, Mineral Lease Type and Lessor Type.
Reporting Periods
Select a year, Quarter, Month or any consecutive years/quarters/months to report on.
Mineral Lease Sub Filters
To exclude specific rental statuses (i.e. Lump Sum / Paid Up) use Mineral Lease Sub Criteria > Advanced > filtering as shown in the example below. Note: All rental statuses by default are included on the report.
Business Associates
If specified, will select only leases where the specified BA(s) are found as the Payor.
For reporting on Owners in Cheque Run use Business Associates Criteria > Advanced > Owner Active (Business Associate) equals Yes.
Sample Steps to Run
Mineral Lease Rental Forecast excluding Lump Sum / Paid Up leases.
1. Choose Qbyte Optix Reports tab > Leases > Rental and Invoice Focus > Mineral Lease Rental Forecast.
2. Choose Report Options > Data Selection > Expiring Lands = Exclude Expiring Lands.
3. Choose Report Options > Grouping and Sorting > Group By – Select the level for which the totals should appear on the report output.
4. Choose Reporting Periods > Reporting Period Selection Method = Enter Reporting Period Criteria
Note: Click the year (or quarter) representation that you wish to generate the report for, the corresponding months will change to green shading.
5. To omit specific Rental Statuses. Choose Mineral Lease Subs > Mineral Lease Sub Selection Method = Enter Mineral Lease Sub Criteria.
Under Advanced select Attribute = Rental Status (Mineral Lease) > Function = not equal to > Value = LUMPSUM / PAIDUP.
6. View the report.
7. Save Report Criteria into your Favorites folder so that you can easily rerun in the future by simply changing the Reporting Period. Remember to flag it as shared if you would like others to see/run this report.
8. Print to PDF to print the Report.

Note: If printing the report to PDF, the report width will only accommodate a maximum of 12 months, so if more than 1 full year is selected, the report will split into multiple pages.
