Back to Qbyte Optix for Qbyte CS Land Report Comparison - Mineral

Qbyte Optix can be used for a quick way to retrieve the Working Interest % for all files in a specific Area, and export the data to Excel to filter and find the average WI% in that area for a specific company.

The Mineral Lease Sub Details Report could be a great starting point, since all of the data for this report exists on the Sub, and the Details report already has the data required.

  •  All of the data from this report can be exported to Excel where further filters can be applied.

  • Set up the report once, then save the report criteria in your favorites folder to easily re-run in the future.

Sample setup steps:

1. Choose Optix Reports Tab > Leases > Mineral Leases > Mineral Lease Sub Details

2. Choose Report Options >

  1. Data Selection > Inactive DOI Links = Exclude Inactive DOIs - to omit inactive interests from the report.

  2. Report Section Selection Method = Select Report Sections and highlight DOI Links.

2. Choose Mineral Lease Subs > Mineral Lease Sub Selection Method = Enter Mineral Lease Sub Criteria to display all available filter options.

a. Specify Basic filters as required (i.e. File Status = All Active and Area = <specific area>)

b. Data Relationships are handy to only find leases where basic data has been entered on the tab. In this case where DOI Links exist.

3. View the report. You will see a one page per lease report, any data elements not required can be omitted in Excel.

4. Save Report Criteria into your favorites folder so that you can easily re-run in the future. Remember to flag it as shared if you would like others to see/run this report.

5. Export to Excel - Unformatted. Further filtering and sorting can now be done, also remove any data not required.

a. On the sheet labelled Mineral Lease Sub DOI Links, you will find the column DOI Type that can be filtered to WI only, and the Partner column can be filtered to a specific company. Excel Average functionality can be used on the Partner Percentage column to determine the average of the percentages entered.
