The Optix Logical Model (Canonical Model) is a data model that represents the inherent structure of data from a business functionality perspective without reference to application-specific use. The metadata support for reporting modules provided by the Logical Model allows Optix to be leveraged across other applications including Financial Management or Production Accounting applications.

The Optix Logical Model offers customization to allow the user to name objects, attributes, and even reports. The Logical Model makes the maintenance of Optix extremely simple and hassle free - when the model is changed, there is no need to build new reports.

Only users with the Optix system administration role will have access to the Optix Logical Model.
