JEE Application Server: GlassFish Server

Browser: Chrome or Edge
CPU: 1.6 GHz minimum

Screen Resolution
For optimal resolution, the screen resolution for desktops should be 1280 x 1024 pixels. On laptops the vertical value can be different; for example, 1280 X 768 pixels. Optix is able to determine whether or not the user is on a laptop or desktop and will dynamically adjust the height for optimal presentation of the Optix user interface.
PDF and Excel Interaction
Optix's interaction with other applications such as Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel are dependent on your browser settings. In Optix, report output can be Printed to PDF or Exported to Excel:
When invoking either of these options, your browser's "Download" settings will determine (a) where the file is downloaded to, (b) if you are asked to save the file before downloading it and (c) whether or not certain file types are opened automatically after downloading it. For example, in your Chrome browser settings, under the Advanced section you will find the Downloads settings:
In your Chromium Edge browser settings, under the Settings section you will find the Downloads settings:
If exporting a file to Excel, when the file is opened in Excel you may see a message regarding "Protected View" with an "Enable Editing" button; for example:
To manage your Protected View settings in Excel; go to the Options section in Excel and choose Trust Center and Trust Center Settings:
Navigate to the Protected View section to view and/or change your settings:
Always discuss changing any of your Excel settings with your desktop support group because changing these settings will impact all Excel downloads from the browser, not just downloads from Optix. Different organizations will have different security settings they want their users to adhere to regarding external files. Based on your organization's Excel configuration profile, changing or disabling these setting may be inadvisable and/or may not be available to you.
