Back to Division of Interest (DOI) / Working Interest (W.I.) Overview

The Tract Interest tab summarizes all Divisions of Interest (DOIs) that pertain to a tract. The summary includes the DOI type, a description of and comments about the DOI, and the effective date of the DOI. You can use the Tract Interest tab to set up new DOIs on the tract, or to review the DOIs that already exist in the tract.

Set up New DOIs or Review Existing DOIs

1. Select Add DOI to add a new DOI to the Tract document. See DOI for more information about creating a DOI.

2. Select Detail to display details of the current (highlighted) Tract DOI record.

3. Optionally, you can select Add Sub to set up a new Sub document within the contract agreement.

Tips

  • The Tract interest multiplied by the tract participation percent (entered in the TractInformation tab) must equal the Share of TractParticipation entered on the ExhibitA report accompanying the Unit agreement. You must enter a tract interest on every Tract document that you create.

  • You can add DOIs only to Sub or Tract documents. You cannot set up a DOI in the Base document of a contract agreement.

  • You must set up at least one DOI in each Sub or Tract document. You can set up as many DOIs as you need in each Sub or Tract document.

  • Once you have set up a DOI in a contract, you can link royalties, Mineral and Surface documents, and Wells to the contract DOI.

  • You must remove all DOI links before you can delete a DOI. See DOI for more information about deleting a DOI record.
