Wells

If a well has been configured and run with data existing in the month to be suspended or deleted then any calculated data must be cleared out by re-calculating the well with no data.  The first step is to zero out all well level data. For Operated wells set the well to Shut-in, for Partner Operated wells simply zero out all transactions for the well.  Note: If a well has an inventory at any facility and the well is being DELETED then the inventory will have to be moved to another entity.  If the well still owns the inventory and should receive the proceeds of the sale then the well cannot be DELETED and should simply be taken OFF productionThe second step is to run the group all the way to step 7 in order to clear out any table entries (especially financial records).

A: Only use These Steps if the WELL was Set up in Error and Should be DELETED

1. Set the well OFF production. For more information see  Well Maintenance - Setting Well OFF Production .

2. Under Wells Maintenance in the following order, delete the well components:

  • DOI Tab – Delete any DOIs including any exception DOI linkages.

  • Master Tab – Delete well master (only if the WELL was set up in error).

B: Only use These Steps if WELL is to be Removed from Reporting at a Specific Month (SUSPENDED) but is Still Active in Previous Months for Amendments

1. Set the well OFF production. For more information see  Well Maintenance - Setting Well OFF Production .

Batteries - Operated

If a battery has been configured and run with data existing in the month to be suspended or deleted, the first step is to zero out all well level data (set all wells to Shut-in). The second step is to zero out all data for the battery.

In order to delete a battery or take a battery off production, all wells must be detached from the battery first.

For this process, the battery must not have any monthly data:

  • All inventory (well and battery level) has been cleared.

    • Any inventory including third party receipts (remote inventory) must be cleared prior to deleting any well/facility.

  • Gas Balance - All linked or entered gas or liquid analyses on disposition lines must be deleted before the disposition is deleted.

  • Gas Balance - All allocate volumes (consumption meters) are zero and wells have been delinked.

  • OIL, GAS, WATER Balance tabs - all receipts and dispositions are zero and can be deleted.

  • All wells are sitting at a shut-in status to be set to No Input.

  • Battery Level - User Input volumes have been deleted.

  • Battery Level - Market Master records are deleted – Including if the battery is transferring to another facility and is referenced at another facility’s Market MasterOIL and GAS – These Market Master records must also be Deleted.

  • Battery Level - Pricing is zero.

  • Battery Level - Lite Pipeline Confirmation Numbers are deleted.

  • Battery LevelFacility Charge Linkages must be deleted (all charges linked to the battery must be deleted).

C: Only use These Steps if the BATTERY was Set up in Error and Should be Deleted

1. In order to detach all wells from the battery, the well status must be No input.

a. Battery Balance - Under the Well Input tab Select All (all wells should be highlighted green).

i. Select Clear Well Production (all wells should now show a Status of No Input).

2. All Balance tabs should be empty of receipts and dispositions.

3. All Battery Level menus should be without Sheets (see the details listed above).

4. Control Group Master → Schematic Tab → Remove from Schematic → the Battery.

5. Under Battery Maintenance:

a. Measurement Edits tab – Delete any specific edits configured for the Battery Master.

b. DOI tab – Delete any battery DOI subs and any exception DOI linkages.

c. Well tab – Select All - All wells should highlighted green, select Delete row(s) – Once all wells have been detached there will be no wells listed. Click Save.

d. Analysis tab – Delete any Analysis records.

e. Production tab – Delete Consumption Factors.

f. Set Off Production – Battery must be error free in order to successfully set off production – System generated message.

g. Master tab - Delete Battery Master record (only if the battery was set up in error).

D: Only use These steps if the Battery is to be Removed from Reporting at a Specific Month (SUSPENDED) but is still Active in Previous Months for Amendments

1. In order to detach all wells from the battery, the Well Status must be No Input.

a. Battery Balance - Under the Well Input tab Select All (all wells should be highlighted green). Select Clear Well Production. All wells should now show a Status of No Input.

2. All Balance tabs should be empty of receipts and dispositions.

3. All Battery Level menus should be without Sheets (see the details listed above).

4. Control Group MasterSchematic tab - Remove from Schematic the battery.

5. Under Battery Maintenance:

a. Production tab – Set Off Production – Battery must be error free in order to successfully set off production – System generated message. The battery is now off production for the month and will no longer be reported.
