SUMMARY

Carry Over Current Month Control Groups

Metrix has been enhanced to allow you to Carry Over ‘not ready to be closed’ Current Month Control Groups at Region Month End.

Previously, all current month Control Groups in a region had to be at Step 7 and interfaced before the Region Close could be run. This means you might have had to enter invalid prices or other estimates just so that the Control Groups could be completed within the month. If you had such Control Groups, you would then have to open them up for Amendment in order to enter actuals when they are known. This was probably most common with partner operated properties.

You can now enable new functionality to allow users, with proper security access, the ability to indicate the Current Month Control Groups that need to be Carried Over (and not book to financial this month). Current Month Control Groups flagged as Carried Over will not be included on a Final Financial Interface and therefore will not appear on any Voucher. When a Region closes and the Region contains Current Month Control Groups flagged to be Carried Over, the Carried Over Control Groups will still be brought into the next month but there will be no Financial History created for the current month (since they were not included on any Financial Vouchers).  In addition, the application will automatically Request and Schedule an Amendment for each of the Carried Over Control Groups for the now previous month.

Petrotranz Oil Splits for Carried Owners

Petrotranz Oil Shipper Split functionality has been expanded to allow the user to have finer control over the grouping of individual owner volumes under a single Carrier (Working Interest Owner field in Petrotranz Oil Shipper Split).  The default functionality for non-TIK partners (Receive Revenue = Yes) has been modified to use the Producing Battery Operator as the Carrier instead of each individual owner being reported as their own Carrier.  Default functionality for TIK partners (Receive Revenue = No) remains the same, each TIK owner will be reported as their own Carrier.  New functionality has been added to the Market Master Purchaser to allow the user to enter an Override Split Carrier which, when entered, will be used as the Carrier for all owners contributing to that Purchaser/Contract.  The Override Split Carrier will apply to both TIK and non-TIK partners so it is possible to handle situations where one TIK partner is the Carrier for another TIK partner.

BC S1/S2 Enhancements

The file name of the BC-S1 and BC-S2 has been changed to be the 4-digit client ID code followed by the production period in YYMM format with the extension .ds. For example, BC-S1 and/or BC-S2 data from the operator with client ID 9999 for production in July 2016 will be created with the file name 99991607.ds.

The BC-S1 and BC-S2 file format has also been changed to match the encoding required by the BC Government.

The following two Functional Implementation Types have been added to Qbyte Metrix. The Active Indicator will be defaulted to ‘No’ for both Functional Implementation Types.

  • Enable Carry Over of Current Month Control Groups – Setting this Functional Implementation Tyoe will enable the ability to Carry Over Current Month Control Groups within your organization.

  • Allow Users to Carry Over their own Current Month Control Groups - Setting this Functional Implementation Type will allow individual users to Carry Over their own Current Month Control Groups that they have security access to.

Security Components

NOTES

Security Components added to Qbyte Metrix

The following new Security Components have been added to Qbyte Metrix. These new Security Components have not been added to existing Security Roles. Its is up to the user to add them when/where necessary.

  • CarryOverAuthCurrentMonth - Carry Over Authorized Current Month Control Groups - Carry Over Authorized Current Month Control Groups. Enable individual users to Carry Over Current Month Control Groups.

Note:  This component should be attached to a Control Group Level Role and Users assigned that Role for the Control Groups that they are allowed this functionality.

  • CarryOverCorporateCurrentMonth - Carry Over Current Month Control Groups - Carry Over Corporate Current Month Control Groups. This security component is a Corporate-wide component, the user with access to this security component does not require access to each individual Control Group. If a user has this security component enabled for their Role, it overrides the above Control Group Security Component (CarryOverAuthCurrentMonth). This is most useful if your organization does not want to allow individual users the ability to Carry Over Current Month Control Groups or does not use Control Group Level security (roles).

A list of database changes for this release can be found on the P2 Store (Product Files > P2 Metrix).
