User Defaults

Introduction

Optix allows individual users to set their own report default values for each of the available report criteria selection widgets in Optix. User defaults are used every time a report is created; providing a quick and effective way to customize the starting criteria for a new report. User defaults may be updated through the User Defaults sub tabs. The following is the list of available report criteria selections widgets that can be defaulted.  Detailed information on each Report Option can be found here.  Save your Defaults by selecting Save Preferences and Defaults in the bottom right corner.

Click the View the User Preferences and Defaults link to see a Summary of User Preferences and Defaults Summary.

System Admin (Corporate Defaults)

Corporate defaults can only be managed by users with Optix system administration access. Optix allows system administrators to set corporate wide report default values for each of the available report criteria selection widgets in Optix.  These corporate defaults are used every time a report is created; providing a quick and effective way to customize the starting criteria for a new report.  These corporate defaults can be overridden at a User level (see above).  Corporate defaults may be updated through the Corporate Defaults sub tab. The Corporate Defaults will be different depending on the Model that has been selected.  For the Qbyte Metrix (Production) model, there are many report criteria selections widgets that can be defaulted.  Save your Defaults by selecting Save Preferences and Defaults in the bottom right corner.
