Injection Balance
Back to Monthly Data Entry and Balance Screens
Overview
The Injection Facility Balance screen is used to enter data associated with Injection Facilities, some of which is required for Volumetric and SAF/OAF submissions to Petrinex. This screen can be launched from the menu or from the Explorer for Injection Facilities attached to a Control Group (available as of Release 25.1).
For Injection Facilities attached to a Control Group, the user must have access to the Control Group, along with a Control Group Role with Full Access to the InjectionBalanceEdit component. For those Injection Facilities not attached to a control group, the user must have a Corporate Role with Full Access to the InjectionBalanceEdit component.
When the Injection Facility is attached to a Control Group, the Injection Facility Balance screen will reset the Step status when any changes are made. In addition, if the control group is locked/closed (for at least STEP01 - Allocations), then no changes will be allowed (all fields and action buttons will be disabled).
Injection Balance Summary
This summary section appears at the top of the screen and is visible regardless of which tab is currently active. Metering Difference is a calculated volume based on all other data entry.
Note: The Project Injection column will only be visible as of Release 24.1. Project Injection is only available, and can therefore only be non-zero, for Injection Facilities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba (for dates after Manitoba implemented Petrinex).
When the Injection Facility is attached to a Control Group, the control group will appear as part of the header. If the Control Group is locked/closed (for at least STEP01 - Allocations) then no changes will be allowed on any of the tabs and a message will be displayed.
Balance
This tab is used to enter Opening and Closing Inventory for the various products.
The Recalculate button on this tab will recalculate the summary information for the entire Injection Facility. This button will only be used rarely by clients, as the summary information is typically kept up to date as any changes are made to any of the volumes associated with the Injection Facility. This button was added as of Release 24.1 to deal with the change from summarizing various Gas By-products to the SOLVENT product to summarizing those products individually, so each Gas By-product would appear in the Summary and would be allowed to enter their own Opening/Closing Inventory.

Receipts
This tab is used to enter receipts to the Injection Facility. This tab will also display receipts that were auto-generated based on dispositions from other Qbyte Metrix facilities. These auto-generated receipts cannot be modified or deleted.
The Load Facility Receipts button is used to ensure that dispositions into the Injection Facility from Batteries, Gathering Systems or Plants are in sync with receipts. This means that System Generated receipts may be added, deleted, or modified to ensure that they reflect the disposition data. This is only enabled if the Injection Facility has Automatically Generate Receipts set to No.
FIELD | DESCRIPTION |

When set to Lease Fuel, the volume will also be displayed on the Consumptions tab and the volume will be included in the Summary section in both the Consumption and Receipts columns. |

Deliveries
This tab is used to enter deliveries from the Injection Facility. If the delivery is to an Injection Facility, where Automatically Generate Receipts is Yes, and it is attached to a Control Group that is locked/closed (for at least STEP01 - Allocations), then the delivery row will be protected from changes and/or deletions. In addition, no new deliveries to that Injection Facility can be created.

This tab is used to enter standard Injection and/or Disposal activities. For Petrinex reporting this corresponds to the INJ activity.
The Duplicate button can be used to quickly add new records. Select the row(s) you want to duplicate and then click the Duplicate button. The selected rows will be duplicated and added to the bottom of the grid. The newly added rows will remain editable so you can make the changes you need to make them unique.

Project Injection (as of Release 24.1)
This tab is used to enter project-based injection (injection that must be reported using special *INJ Petrinex activities, like STINJ). This type of injection is only available for Saskatchewan and Manitoba (for dates that Manitoba has implemented Petrinex), so all fields and buttons will be disabled for any other province/date combination.
For an Injection Facility in Saskatchewan or Manitoba, the tab would look like the following.
The Duplicate button can be used to quickly add new records. Select the row(s) you want to duplicate and then click the Duplicate button. The selected rows will be duplicated and added to the bottom of the grid. The newly added rows will remain editable so you can make the changes you need to make them unique.
