Qbyte Exchange

Introduction

Qbyte Exchange is powerful functionality that allows Qbyte CS Land users to update the Qbyte CS Land database using P2 provided MS Excel templates. Work with your System Administrator to complete the one-time Qbyte Exchange Setup before you can see the Qbyte Exchange menu option.

After you Login to Qbyte Exchange , the Qbyte Exchange main menu will be shown for you to then specify which module you would like to work with in this workbook.

You can use the Data Selection filter box to shorten the list of available modules to what you are looking for.  As you type, the module list will adjust based on the characters you have entered.

Open

As soon as the desired module is selected,

• The side menu changes to the Qbyte Exchange Module Menu and will show you:

  • The current module / mode selected - Mineral Lease Insert

  • The tab that is currently open in Blue Font - i.e Mineral base

  • The current mode selected (Insert or Update) is highlighted in blue.

    • Insert will add new data into the Qbyte CS Land database

    • Update will update specific data for existing files already in the Qbyte CS Land database.  

• The spreadsheet will automatically load the selected template and will display:

  • The available tabs for the module selected along the bottom of the spreadsheet.

  • Row 1 of each tab will have the column headings applicable for the selected tab.  Mandatory data  will have an asterisks in the column heading.

Tip: Click the column header in row 1 to see if additional information is available for that specific field. It may give you formatting or other tips to help eliminate validation errors.

Open
