Overview

This report is useful for Manitoba properties that are configured to use Horizontal Drainage Units/Spacing Units. This report is somewhat based on a sample of the Manitoba government's Monthly Freehold Oil and Gas Production Tax Statement for a property using Horizontal Drainage Units/Spacing Units. It differs only in that fields required for Horizontal Drainage Units/Spacing Units reporting are included and there is some Qbyte Metrix specific information (i.e., Control Group) and a Summary section that does not appear on the official report.

This report is run by Production Date and Control Group. There are multiple sections on the report: Horizontal Wells, Spacing Unit details, and finally a Summary section.

Horizontal Wells

This section lists all of the Horizontal Wells within the Control Group and displays the Well Status (Vintage), Actual Production (Gross Oil Production), and Allocated Net Production (Gross Oil Production minus any Royalty Holiday Volume) for each.

Spacing Unit

Following the Horizontal Wells section, there will be a separate section for each Spacing Unit within the Control Group. The Spacing Units will be displayed using Spacing Unit Name entered within Qbyte Metrix. Under each Spacing Unit will be listed all wells in the Spacing Unit, including both Horizontal and Vertical wells (Well Type). For Horizontal Wells, the Allocated Net Production column will display the share of the Horizontal Well's Allocated Net Production that is associated with the Spacing Unit (based on the Spacing Unit %).

At the end of each Spacing Unit, the Spacing Unit total will be displayed including the Freehold Tax Rate calculated for the Spacing Unit and the Freehold Tax Payable. The Manitoba Oil Freehold Tax is calculated at the Spacing Unit level, so the details related to the Freehold Tax calculations will be displayed only on the Spacing Unit total.

Summary

The final section is the Summary. In this section all wells in any Spacing Unit within the Control Groups are displayed with the Freehold Tax allocated to the well level. This displays the results of the calculated Spacing Unit freehold tax allocated down to the appropriate wells. In the case of Horizontal Wells that span Spacing Units, this will display the total freehold tax for the well from its share of all the Spacing Units it is a part of.

Data Capture

The data associated with this report is calculated during Step05 - Crown Royalties. This report may or may not have data to display when Step05 - Crown Royalties processing does not complete successfully, depending upon the Errors encountered.
