Introduction

Qbyte Metrix is a powerful, agile, intuitive and reliable web-based production accounting designed with the user in mind. It is a ready-to-use application with screens, explorers and reporting that follow the true work flow of a production accountant.

User Profile

You can customize your user profile to control what you see when you're working within Metrix. To access your User Profile, click the Region link in the top right hand corner or it can be accessed through the menu system by clicking on Administration > User Profile.

Default Options:

Switch Region for this session

When you login, you will be always start in your Default Region. If you need to switch to a different region, you simply click the Region link in the top right hand corner. This action will pop up your User Profile screen where you can Switch to a different Region for this session by selecting the region from the dropdown and then clicking Save.

Default Region on Login

If you spend most of your time within one Region, you can indicate which region you want to start in when you login. You can change the Default Region on Logon by selecting the region from the dropdown and then clicking Save.

Automatically Expand All Control Groups

Metrix has been enhanced to optionally expand all control groups upon entering Explorer. To enable this functionality go to User Profile (Administration > Security > User Profile) and change the flag called "Expand Control Groups on Explorer" to Yes.

Default Explorer Production Date

A Production Date can be specified as a default Production Date for the User from the above User Profile screen (Administration > Security > User Profile). This is not a mandatory field. When the user launches the Explorer screen, this default will be used to position the Production Date. If the default Production Date does not exist within the Explorer view (due to security, open status or region) then the Explorer will continue to automatically select the first Production Date on the list.

Default Explorer Control Group

A control group can be specified as a default control group for the user from the above User Profile screen (Administration > Security > User Profile). This is not a mandatory field. When the user launches the Explorer screen, this default will be used to position to the control group. If the default control group does not exist within the Explorer view (due to security, open status or region) then the Explorer will continue to automatically select the first control group on the list.
