Summary of Changes
The purpose of this document is to provide you with the latest information for the release of IFS Energy & Resources Workflow 1.2.
IFS Workflow is a complete, market-leading workflow engine that leverages ProcessMaker software to provide oil and gas workflows for IFS and other applications used in the industry.
This IFS Workflow release includes the following three workflows:
IFS Enterprise Upstream Manual Journal Entry
IFS Excalibur Ownership Update
IFS Reporting Scheduler Payout
Going forward, the workflow engine will only need to be updated when ProcessMaker has a new release that is incorporated into IFS Workflow. Workflows will be released more often when they are created.
Although IFS Workflow is a standalone release from other IFS products, some REST Services that are delivered with other IFS products may be required. Additionally, AppLink, which is the routing and security tool for IFS’s REST Services, may also be required. Workflows that require a connection to data sources will always utilize REST Services for these connections.

Module | Feature Name | Summary |
---|---|---|
Workflows | IFS Enterprise Upstream Manual Journal Entry | The IFS Enterprise Upstream Manual Journal Entry feature releases the new manual journal entry workflow, which facilitates the steps that need to be completed to track the process of approving and posting a manual journal entry when entered in IFS Enterprise Upstream. It is designed to gather documents, route for approval, and successfully post the manual journal entry when fully approved. All files and system reports are exported to a shared drive location with all documents uploaded and an audit trail. |
Workflows | IFS Reporting Scheduler Payout | The IFS Reporting Scheduler Payout runs every morning, or any other defined time, to search through your IFS Reporting data for owners that are close to payout and provide that information to you on a dynamic grid, allowing you to decide if a new workflow case and follow should be completed. The IFS Reporting Scheduler Payout is only one way to use IFS Workflow and IFS Reporting together for a scheduled job like this, serving the information to you instead of you having to hunt for it. |
Workflows | IFS Excalibur Ownership Update | The IFS Excalibur Ownership Change is a manually initiated workflow that begins with the source document emailed to all departments that will need to work on an ownership change. Once the ownership change is approved, the notified departments will save their reports to the workflow showing the update has been made, and upon completion, all documents - including source documents - will be saved to a network shared drive. This can work with LDO300 or REV120 Ownership processing. |
