Accrual Generation -REV221

This program generates current period accruals based on the accruing level set in Revenue Accrual Setup (REV296), and well/purchaser/property/product (WPPP) combinations specified in Revenue Accrual Control Maintenance (REV108). The program does not generate accruals for WPPP combinations that have actual sales information posted to them for this period.

If after running this program, you find that new accrual controls should have been entered, you can enter them and run the program again. The program finds only the new controls and generates them. The program only generates accruals for WPPP combinations that do not have previously generated accruals or manually entered accruals.

You can take various actions if some of the accruals are incorrect. If only a few errors exist, you can use the Manual Accrual Entry And Adjustments (REV222) to correct the accruals. If several errors exist, you can correct the controls or source data that caused the accruals to be generated incorrectly. Then you can select the Regenerate check box to regenerate accruals for some or all of the wells.

Enter well IDs to regenerate accruals for specific wells. The program deletes all previously generated (not manually entered) accruals for the wells entered and regenerates the accruals for those wells using the current accrual control information in Revenue Accrual Control Maintenance (REV108). The program only regenerates accruals if the previously generated accrual has not been posted (status of 'P'osted or 'R'eversed).

Run this program after running the Post Actuals And Designate Reversals (REV220) program for the same company and period. The system does not allow execution of this process if REV220 has not been run.

This program produces a report of the accruals generated, including errors encountered during the generation, and prints a summary page displaying totals by product and by source. It generates accruals with Input status and must be processed next by the Accrual Calculation (REV224) program. In the case where the program generates accruals with a valuation method of Revenue, the average value of components from previous months could be included in the accrual. Of those, the program generates only the components that are not specifically listed for calculation in the Revenue Accrual Control Maintenance (REV108) program.

If you set up an accrual control record that has multiple property references for the same well, purchaser and product, only the property with the most recent effective date is accrued.

For those wells that need back accruals, you must enter them manually using the Manual Accrual Entry And Adjustments (REV222) program. Accruals must be processed on a monthly cycle.
