Accrual Control - REV108A
This program controls the generation of accruals for each well, purchaser, property, and product combination (WPPP). For each WPPP, you designate:
Accrual volumes from: a) averaging prior revenue volumes, b) retrieving production volumes, c) using a fixed volume, or d) entering manually.
Accrual values from: a) averaging prior revenue sales, b) retrieving price from production, c) retrieving price from a price table, or d) entering a manual price/value.
Accrual effective and expiration dates.
Optional months to lag for averaging and optional override check stub for the formatted accrual data entry.
If you use the Energy Production System as the volume source, the program obtains accrual volumes from sales volumes in the Well History Detail (WHD) file for the specified period.
The Revenue system should be used as the volume source when the Energy Production system is not installed. The Revenue system is also used when the accrual gross volumes are calculated from the average volume of gross sales from previous periods. This method is accurate if sales volumes are fairly stable.
Values can be determined independently from the volume source using any of the four methods listed above. The averaging of prior revenue sales method for value determination is accurate when prices are fairly stable.
Defaults for volume source, valuation method, and lag months can be automatically loaded for all purchasers and products assigned to a well. These defaults can be found in the Revenue Accrual System Defaults Setup - REV296 program.
