IFS Enterprise Upstream/IFS ProCount - Parties and Sites

Search the IFS Energy & Resources Connect Wiki

All parties and sites with the following roles will automatically be staged to integrate to all IFS ProCount instances:

  • An OPER role

  • All internals with a REV role

Updates to these parties and sites will also trigger the party/site to be staged for integration.

Data is exchanged between IFS Enterprise Upstream and IFS ProCount in the following ways:

  • IFS Enterprise Upstream Parties and Sites will integrate to IFS ProCount as Business Entities and Business Entity Locations.

  • IFS Enterprise Upstream party_uid will be populated in the Business Entity AccountingID.

  • IFS Enterprise Upstream user_key will be populated in the Business Entity AccountingShortID field.

  • The Data Source field will indicate that the record was created from IFS Enterprise Upstream.

Rules for IFS ProCount Business Entities

  • In IFS ProCount, you will be able to set up new Business Entities, but you will not be able to select the Operator flag since all operators will come from IFS Enterprise Upstream.

  • You will not be able to update any fields in IFS ProCount that are populated from IFS Enterprise Upstream.

  • If a field is not populated from IFS Enterprise Upstream, you will be able to update it in IFS ProCount.

Rules for IFS Enterprise Upstream Sites

  • Site IDs in IFS Enterprise Upstream are the same as Business Entity Locations in IFS ProCount.

  • In IFS Enterprise Upstream, the Site ID is displayed on the Sites form.

  • In IFS ProCount, the Site ID, or Business Entity Location, is displayed in the Account Number field on the Business Entity Location form.

  • In IFS Enterprise Upstream, if multiple OPER sites are set up for the same party, then multiple business entity locations are created in IFS ProCount. These business entity locations are created with an Account Number referencing the IFS Enterprise Upstream Site Sequence ID.

  • The Location Number in IFS ProCount is just a number created in sequence when a business entity location is created. This number has no relevance in IFS Enterprise Upstream or for any integration purposes.
