How to use this Wiki
Navigation
This wiki contains detailed instructions for users and administrators for setup and day-to-day functions for various interoperabilities. If the user is looking for information on a specific interoperability project, select the central product from the first page, then the interoperating project on the following page, then the product versions applicable to your setup. From here, select the appropriate topic based on the information desired.
Additionally, various resources are available that do not pertain to a specific interoperability project. A workflow across all products as well as cross-product dictionary are available from the main page. The user may also navigate directly to the desired area from the Index. Additional workflows will be found under the applicable heading (for instance, the Wellcore Financials workflow, which applies to interoperability with all Financials systems, appears on the Wellcore page).
Most pages will link to the above page in the hierarchy from a link at the bottom of the page. The user may of course also use the Back button in their browser. At any time, the user can navigate back to the IFS Interoperability main page by clicking Main Page in the upper-left corner of the screen.
From any page, users may click the What links here link in the Toolbox to look at any links that direct to the current page. The user may also print the current page by clicking the Printable version link, which brings up a printer-friendly version of the current page. If the user desires to create a permanent link for the current version of this page, without taking into account possible future edits, click the Permanent Link link.
The user may also search a list of all pages within this wiki by clicking on the Special Pages link.
While the majority of users will not have edit access to this wiki, users may view the edit history for any page by clicking the History link at the top.
Search Strategies
There are two forms of searches that the user may perform within the wiki. In the Search box on the left side of the screen, the user can enter the desired term. By clicking the Go button beneath, it will attempt to find a page with that exact name. If the user clicks the Search button, it will search within page names and page text to locate the terms entered.
Note: The Search box is unavailable in a Google Chrome browser from any screen other than the Advanced Search screen. The user must click the Search or Go buttons to access the Advanced Search screen, from which the search can be performed. The Search box functions as expected in the Internet Explorer browser.
All results using the Search function will be displayed in two lists: Page title matches and Page text matches. The first list contains all pages in which the search results appear in the page title. The second list contains all pages in which the search results appear anywhere in the page text.
To return an exact phrase, enter quotation marks around the search terms. For instance, entering ("well spot") will return all occasions where those words appear in that exact order. Without the quotation marks, all pages which contain the words "well" and "spot" in the document will be returned.
If the user is attempting to search on a portion of a word, the user should enter a wild card (*) adjacent to the word fragment where additional letters might appear. For instance, the user should enter (well*) to retrieve appearances of the words well and wells.
The user should use the minus (-) symbol to locate a search term where an additional search term is not present. For instance if the user enters (IFS -production), all places where "IFS" appears without the word "Production" appearing directly after it will be returned.
