IFS Enterprise Upstream/IFS AFE - System Parameters
Back to IFS Enterprise Upstream/IFS AFE System Setup
The Interoperability System Parameters form allows the user to set certain preferences and parameters for inbound and outbound services. The EE record for the AFE Integration must be manually created, as its data is not seeded.
If using the IFS AFE and IFS Enterprise Upstream integration, this record must be created. It should then be updated using SQL. The CMPL_REQUIRED column in the EB_INTEROP_SYSTEM_PARAMETERS table must have a Y for completions to be required when creating the wells in IFS Enterprise Upstream.
The following parameters may be configured on this form:
Interoperability Module: When accessing this form, enter EE in the Interoperability Module field, then hit Inquiry. Additional modules may be added in future releases.
AFE Integration: This option must be selected to activate the IFS Enterprise Upstream and IFS AFE integration.
DOI Required: Select this to require entry of the DOI when entering data in the RC Associations form within the AFE Maintenance form. This flag must be deselected to be able to create AFE RC Associations from IFS AFE.
Expenditure Organization: If Projects is enabled, populate this field with the correct Expenditure Organization from Oracle Projects; otherwise, leave it null. If entered, this will be used as the Expenditure Organization during AFE creation.
Reporting Organization: Enter the Reporting Organization to be used during AFE Creation, The reporting organization is required for the AFE.
To create the EE record in the Interoperability System Parameters form, follow the steps exactly as shown below. Otherwise, the creation of the record will not be successful.
1. Open the Interoperability System Parameters form.
2. Enter EE in the Interoperability Module field, and click Save.
3. Do not exit the field or tab.
4. After you have saved the record, inquire on it. Click the Inquiry Mode key.
5. Enter EE in the Interoperability Module and execute the query.
The record should display.
6. For the IFS AFE Integration with IFS Enterprise Upstream, select the AFE Integration option. This option is read by several forms in Base, JVA, and AFE.
7. Select a Reporting Organization. This value is needed for the integration.
8. Click Save.
The record should have been created in the EB_INTEROP_SYSTEM_PARAMETERS table. Notice that the Org_ID is 0. The COMPL_REQUIRED column must have a Y in this table so the completions are required when creating wells.
