Release Type

Patch

Summary of Changes

This patch has a mixture of bug fixes and small enhancements to help safeguard users from making inadvertent mistakes.

Safeguard Enhancements

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Trade

    • A new Finalize option has been added to the Journalization screen in both AP and ART.  With the Finalize option unchecked, the journalization process can be run and the journal reports will display with the details of the journalization, however, the database is not updated, neither in GL or the subledgers.  The report can be reviewed to ensure that all expected items are included, the journal is created in the correct period, etc.  When the review is confirmed, then mark the Finalize option and rerun the process.  The journals will then be created in the GL as normal and the subledger records will be updated.

  • General Ledger

    • A rollback has been added to the Journal Entry/Corrections screen in an effort to eliminate instances of a loss of line items when an error occurs in the screen.

MTD VAT Returns

  •  General Ledger

    • Fraud Prevention Headers have been added to the submission of VAT returns to HMRC in the UK per HMRC’s requirements.

    • Verbiage was changed in boxes 2, 4, 8 and 9 per HMRC’s requirements.

Key Maintenance Items

  • Accounts Payable

    • Invoice Entry

      • Corrected a condition where an invoice is deleted from the Invoice Entry screen and another is entered and saved without line items.  The new invoice without lines was marked as valid and could be approved and journalized.

  • Currency Conversion

    • Gain/Loss Calculation

      • Corrected a calculation error where the same advance was partially applied to the same invoice.

  • Inventory Accounting

    • Journalize Warehouse Receipts

      • Corrected a condition where receipt accruals were reversed even though the invoice for the stock items had not been processed, although invoices for taxes and freight costs had been processed.

For a full listing of maintenance items, see IFS IDEAS 6.14.1.0 Risk Assessments.
