Temporary projects can be used for temporarily limiting the display or reporting of documents or files for a single session. Temporary projects can be converted to permanent projects if desired.

To create a temporary project:

1. Open the Select window for the module in which you wish to work.

2. Using one of the browse paths available in the drop-down menu associated with the Select field or the Filter option, select the documents that you want to be in your temporary project.

3. Select the Select All button and then the Temp Proj icon in the main toolbar.

4. Select OK when asked to continue.

  • The system creates a temporary project containing the documents selected as a result of the above browse and assigns the project a number that is visible in the header bar at the top of the screen.

5. If at this point you want to run one or more reports on the documents in the project, select the Reports icon and proceed as you would normally.

  • The selection of files available for reporting will be limited to those in the temporary project.

6. If you would like to narrow your list of documents down even further, while in your Temp Proj, select another browse path or Filter Option as in Step 2 above.

7. Select the Temp Proj icon to deselect your first Temp Proj.

  • You will be asked if you want to exit the temporary project, select OK.

  • You will be asked if you want save it to a CS Project, select Yes or No.

8. Use the Select All button to select the records browsed.

9. Select the Temp Proj icon to create a new temporary project.

  • You are able to continue this process until you have reached your final selection.

To exit the temporary project:

1. Select the Temp Proj icon.

  • You will be asked if you want to exit the temporary project, select OK.

  • You will be asked if you want save it to a CS Project, select Yes or No.

Files displayed will still be limited by the original Select Path or Filter Option

2. Open the Filter window to Clear Filter Option
