Account Group Data Entry in BOLO

The instructions below describe how to create Account Groups and map them to Major and Minor Accounts in the IFS BOLO application.

  1. Log in.

  2. Open the Account Group Maintenance module under General Ledger > GL Chart of Accounts.

     

  3. Type in an Account Group ID.

    • If you are setting up Account Groups to use the IFS Reporting Custom Financial Report, see the Training Guide for recommendations on assigning Account Group IDs.

    • Click Enter.

    • When prompted to add the new Account Group, click Yes.

       

  4. Type in a Description.

  5. Select Accounts.

    • Click the "..." button.

    • In the Chart of Accounts window, select your accounts.

      • If you select a Major account, the Account Group will include all of its Minor accounts.

    • You can select multiple accounts by holding the Control key and clicking the accounts.

    • Click OK to save the selected accounts.

    • To select more accounts, click the "..." button in the empty bottom row.

       

  6. Select Exclusion Accounts (optional)

    • Click the "..." button in the Exclusion Accounts section to exclude accounts.

      • This is useful if you want to select a Major Account and include all of its Minors except for a couple.

    • You do not need to enter a Category.

    • Click OK to save the Account Group.

     

  7. Verify Account Group Mapping

    • In the Navigation Explorer select General Ledger > GL Chart of Accounts > Account Groups Master Report.

    • To Export to Excel click the   icon.
