The Interrupted Icon
The system places 'user locks' on files as soon as the file is opened in Update mode. If the application is abruptly shut down with a file left in an unclosed / unsaved state, it will remain locked / interrupted.
Note: Locked / interrupted files cause problems as other users cannot access these locked / interrupted files. If a coworker is out of the office and has locked files that you need access to, contact your System Administrator, They can run a process to Change User Locks to your user id. In addition, processes such as Code Change and Mass Change cannot be run if any locked / interrupted files exist for any user.
If you have locked / interrupted files, when logging into the application, a popup window will be shown once for each module where there has been interrupted updates. For example, in Mineral:
For each module popup, the user can choose to address the interrupted update(s) by highlighting a row and selecting Update. The user can alternatively select Cancel to close the popup and at a later time use the Interrupted icon to find the interrupted document(s).
The Interrupted icon can be found in all Qbyte CS Land modules.
When the interrupted icon is selected, either the popup window will be shown to display a list of documents for which the update session was interrupted or a popup message will be shown to indicate 'No interrupted updates were found for this module'. If there are no interrupted updates, simple click OK to close the popup message.
