Upload Purchaser Property Master - REV101

This program allows the user to load a file saved in *.txt format to define Purchaser Property Master records, in lieu of entering these records manually using the Property Master - REV100 process. Upload Purchaser Property Master - REV101 follows the same validations as the manual entry methods. Please refer to the documentation for Property Master - REV100 when populating data in the spreadsheet for uploading. It is not necessary to remove the header line defining the data columns; the next step provides an option to ignore the header line.

After entering the location of the *.txt formatted source file, locally or on an accessible network drive, click the Process button. The Find button can be used to browse for the appropriate file. A message will display, which asks the user if the upload file contains column Header line or only Data. There is also an option to Cancel if the file listed is incorrect or you do not wish to proceed.

A report will be created listing errors and warnings. All errors must be corrected and saved in the source file before attempting to upload the file again. Warnings display for data that may not produce the intended results, but will not prevent the file from being uploaded. The report lists the row and column with specific information regarding why this field did not pass validations. Refer to Property Master - REV100 process documentation to aid in resolving the validation errors. When troubleshooting errors during the upload process, it may be helpful to add numbers, representing each field across the spreadsheet, at the end of your data in the source file to help identify the specific field with the error. If this method is used, be sure to remove that line after correcting all validation errors.

When the report lists no errors, a count of the number of lines to be uploaded will be displayed, with the option to Upload or Cancel the file upload. No records have been updated at this point. When the Upload button is selected, a report showing the records uploaded is created. The uploaded data may be viewed and edited using the Property Master - REV100 process. Proceed with normal revenue processing.
