The 'Check Stub Data Exchange (CDEX) Users guide' manual provides a detail explanation of for:

  • Participant Startup - Receiving from other companies.

  • CDEX*PC Program - Setup and menus operation.

  • CDEX Operating Conventions, Standards and Procedures.

Standardized Codes - the Company, Property, Product and Transactions codes data entry programs are used to set up these standardized codes to translate to the codes setup in the Excalibur Software.

Once the check stub data is received on the PC, DOS File, PC terminal emulation software such as PROCOMM, VIADUCT, etc is then used to migrate the DOS file to the GE.CHECK.STUBS file in the Excalibur software.

The GE.CHECK.STUBS file loaded from DOS is then transferred to the GE.CHECK.TRANSACTIONS file with CDX210 (Convert Check Stubs Received). This file is then printed with CDX215 (Transmitted Records Analysis report) to verify content of received data.

Program CDX220 (Transfer to Gross Sales) is used to actually create gross sales transactions in the Excalibur Elite Revenue System.

Program CDX300 (GE Check Stub Purge) is used to purge records from the GE.CHECK.TRANSACTIONS file.
