Overview

Welcome to IFS Reporting!  This page is intended to get you logged in, running your first report, and point you to additional resources for using IFS Reporting.

IFS Reporting is a platform that allows users of all types (from the analyst, to the executive suite, and out to the field) to access and create beautiful reports and powerful analytics. It  unites the data across all of your IFS products, enabling seamless integrated reporting.  

  1. To launch IFS Reporting, type the URL provided by IFS into your preferred web browser. We

  2. The Login page appears, as in Figure 1.

  3. Type in Organization Name, User ID, and Password.

    • Contact your Administrator if you do not know your Organization Name.

  4. Click Login.

Out-of-the-box and Custom Reports

IFS Reporting comes with ready-to-use content, and users can create their own custom ad hoc views, reports and dashboards.


IFS Reporting is delivered with many ready-to-use reports and dashboards.

Out-of-the-box reports are located in the Public folder.

  • Depending on which IFS Products you have - for example, IFS Merrick, you will see different product content in the Public folder (left side of the image).

    • Reports for IFS accounting products (BOLO and Excalibur) are located in the Financial Products folder.

  • Within each product folder there are 5 folders for the 5 types of content:

    • Ad Hoc Views: A data exploration tool that provides analysis options (such as slice, pivot, and filter) to help you recognize trends and outliers in your data.

    • Dashboards: An interactive space that displays Ad Hoc Views, Reports, and other BI objects.

    • Data Sources: A resource with database connection information. For administrator use.

    • Domains: A virtual view that presents your data in business terms, and is used to create Ad Hoc Views and Reports.

    • Reports: Reports display your data in tables, charts, or crosstabs.

Many of the financial out-of-the-box reports depend on setting up a standardized set of IFS Reporting Account Groups in your accounting software (BOLO or Excalibur).

Some of the most popular Account Group-based reports are:

  • R 02.12 Lease Operating Statement Crosstab

  • R 02.21 Well Detail Lease Operating Statement

  • R 02.23 Income Statement

In addition to the Public folder with out-of-the-box content, there is a folder for your company where users can put custom content.

Creating Copies of Public Content

For instructions on copying public content into your user folder, see Moving or Copying a Report in Lesson 3 of the Basic User Training Guide.

  • Once you have created a copy in your user folder, you can change the name and description of the report.

  • You can also save filter options , which is useful if you regularly run a report with the same filters.

  • You can also schedule the report to be emailed to you.

Custom Content
