New Features

Initial Release of New HTML5 Desktop/Mobile Device iApprove Interface

P2 IDEAS is releasing an updated interface for iApprove. This update has a clean new look and is available from either a desktop web browser or a mobile device such as an Android or Apple phone or tablet. The initial release only allows for Invoice Approvals. Purchase Documents and Requisitions will be available in subsequent releases. Many considerations were given to the presentation on both desktop and mobile devices. Full functionality is available on a mobile device. The new iApprove UI is certified for Chrome and Safari browsers.

Upgrade of iIDEAS Related Components

In an effort to eliminate old technology, two iIDEAS components have been converted from VB6 to VB.net. This helps to protect P2 IDEAS from ever-evolving technology changes implemented by Windows updates.

  • iAdminUtilities.dll – This is the replacement for the old IDEASActiveX.exe. In addition to moving to VB.net, this component was moved to a library from an executable. This component is used to allow documents to be routed for approval from Accounts Payable, Purchase Documents, and Purchase Requisitions. It also allows users to add attachments to documents that are being routed. As an executable, this component sometimes crashed causing interruptions in processing. As a library, these crashes will be eliminated.
  • iAdminBusiness.dll – This is the replacement for the old iAdmin.dll. This component contains many tools used by the iIDEAS Administration module and the iAdminUtilites.dll.

Accounts Payable

  • Invoice Entry
    • Corrected a condition that caused the Element lists in the Line Entry tab to not be filtered.
    • Corrected a condition where the 1099 flag in the Defaults tab impacted whether the line numbers in the Line Entry tab were incremented or not.


Purchase Documents

  • PD Entry
    • Error messages that were occurring when a clause was deleted have been fixed.
    • Tabbing errors in the Non-Stock Line Items screen have been resolved.


Purchase Taxes

  • Tax Account Analysis Report
    • Corrected the orientation of the report so the last three columns are visible.


  • Journal Entries Import
    • If the Batch Control option is enabled in the General Ledger, Link is now prevented from importing to journals that are not defined for Auto Posting.


New Product Certification

  • P2 IDEAS has been certified on Windows Server 2019.
  • P2 IDEAS has been certified on SQL Server versions 2017 and 2019.
