Introduction

The Cost Centre Numbering screen allows users to auto number cost centres for specific organizations and cost centre types.

Enabling Cost Centre Numbering

To enable cost centre numbering, the system default AUTO_NUMBER_CC needs to be set to Y. To do this:

  1. Navigate to the menu and select Administration > System Defaults and Controls.

  2. In the Sub-Systems tab, highlight 2 - QBYTE FM.

  3. Select the Sub-Sys Comp tab and highlight 16 - CORE.

  4. In the Default Values tab highlight Sub-system default AUTO_NUMBER_CC.

  5. Enter Y in the value field.

Select Ctrl + S, or the Save icon , to save the changes.

Setting Up Cost Centre Numbering

To set up cost center numbering, navigate to the menu and select Configuration > Cost Centre > Cost Centre Numbering

Organization

The managing organization of the cost centres to number. This value can be selected from the Organizations List of Values.

Cost Centre Type

The type of the cost centres to number. This value can be selected from the Cost Centre Type List of Values.

Prefix Character

The characters that will prefix the cost centre number when created.

Start Number 

The first number to use when numbering cost centres.

End Number 

The last number to use when numbering cost centres. 

Next Cost Centre

The next number to use when numbering cost centres. 


Cost Centre Numbering Example

When creating a cost centre, if cost centre numbering is enabled, the Cost Centre field will not be available.

Upon saving the cost centre, the cost centre number will be created using the settings in the Cost Centre Numbering screen.
