IFW Automated Interface Setup Instructions
The IFW Automated Interface function allows you to schedule a job that will Import, Validate, and Post TRANS4M journal batches automatically. Joining this with TRANS4M’s ability to create the P2 IDEAS ASCII Interface files through the Nightly Batch process means saving user companies all of the effort used to update the P2 IDEAS/GL with TRANS4M activity.

1. To set up the Automated Execution process, access the Scheduled Task icon by choosing Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Click Next to continue.

3. Use the Browse… option to locate the AutoIF.exe, typically found in the C:\Program Files\Winideas directory.
4. Click Next to continue.

5. Enter a Name for the task and click the Daily button.
6. Click Next to continue.

7. Specify the Start time, and indicate how often this task is to be performed. Be sure to choose a start time after the time the TRANS4M Nightly Batch process is expected to be completed.
8. Click Next to continue.

9. Supply the user name and password that has access to the server where this scheduled task is to be run.
10. Click Next to continue.

11. Verify the results as they are displayed.
12. When satisfied with the parameters, click Finish to complete the setup of this Scheduled Task.

13. Review and adjust the Scheduled Task by right-clicking the Automated Interface icon.

14. To set the Accounting Period the ASCII tables will target, open the Interface Utility program, choose Functions and then Auto Interface Params. Use the Spyglass button to select the period the AutoIF process will use.
